Bits of interest (self and other promotion)
Several interesting conferences coming up:
1 – The schedule for the next Dundee conference on 21st century idealisms is here.
2-The schedule for the Cyclonopedia event in NYC on March 11th is here.
3-The first issue of continent (an onlline journal started by some fellow EGSers) is available online here. I have a short piece on Land, Ligotti, and Lovecraft. The piece is entitled: “Mad Speculation and Absolute Inhumanism: Lovecraft, Ligotti, and the Weirding of Philosophy”
4-I’m presenting at The Revolution of Time and the Time of Revolution conference at Binghampton in March. Peter Gratton is the keynote. My paper will be on the deep time of ecological politics.
5-I’m also presenting at the Animal/Machine/Sovereign conference at SUNY Buffalo in April. Catherine Malabou is one of the keynotes. My piece will be mostly on the concept of the creature in Eugene Thacker’s work.
6-The future of continental philosophy of religion at Syracuse has a very interesting lineup of speakers and papers.
7-Annoyingly, the dates for the Syracuse conference conflict with the Return of Metaphysics conference at Villanova. Graham Harman is the keynote.
